Don’t get me started on rap-metal act CMCB’s butchery of “Nothing to My Name,” but let’s just say I might well be more partial to Michael Learns To Rock’s version. But I stumbled into a cover worth sharing…

I figure that in light of my upcoming visit to NYU to talk about the yaogun-mentary, Rock Heart Beijing, it was as good a time as any to repost, since the film was made by a Norwegian and features the band in Norway. Back in 2007, a grrrreat garrrrrage rock band from Denmark, Rock Hard Power Spray, also had at a Subs tune, a one-time-only Midi Festival special. Can’t think of other covers of yaogun tunes off the top of my head, but surely there are some out there…
